Report:	Game number 18 for the season ended in a 1-1 tie with the division leaders, the Relics. We met a team that had won 15 of their last 16 games (tied one). We only had 11 players, (I was on the field the last 15 min. but that doesn’t count), so all our guys had to play a full game against a team with several subs. Our lineup for the whole game was: Matthew S. in goal, Ed, Brian B., Patrick J. and Alan was our strong defense, our hardworking midfield today was: Adel, Thorsten, Barry and Gil, and our to speedy and aggressive forwards: Chris and Ismael. First half was very even early on, but our guys played better and better as their confidence grew, and started to control the game. We passed well and produced a few chances. We took a deserved 1-0 lead after 30. min. One of their guys meant to head the ball back to their goalie, but found Chris instead, who calmly put the ball into their goal. We continued to play well after that, and we were closer to a second goal than they were to tie the game. 1-0 at halftime. Second half started with a rush at our goal. The Relics got a goal back after 5 minutes of the half on a quickly taken freekick, that took our wall and Matthew in our goal a bit by surprise. A couple of minutes later on of their guys hit our crossbar, but after that our guys woke up and started to play the way we did in the first half. They had more chances than us, but never got really close to a winning goal. We had a few chances ourselves, and we came close on a couple times within the last 10 minutes. Final score 1-1. Great game everyone! 3 games left of the season and we are going for 9 points.
