Report:	We played our 8 Marin League game yesterday against Kono. We got a good start this time as well, as so often lately. Chris fought for, and won a ball halfway into their field, moved around their last defender and scored on a nice shot over the goalies head. That was his 14th goal for us in Marin over the last two years, in only 18 games! We played well throughout the half, and produced enough chances so we should have gotten the important second goal. Instead Kono came back and tied the game 3-4 minutes before halftime, when one of their players was left open to score on a nice header. 1-1 at halftime. Second half started out like the first. We played good soccer, and took the lead after 15 min. of the half. Thorsten was fouled inside their box, and we got a penalty kick. This time Ed stepped up to the plate, and did no mistake when he hit their goal via the post. Kono wasted no time, and only need one minute to level the score again. On a free kick one of their guys was left open and he did no mistake a put the ball in the net over Matthews head. We continued to push for the winning goal, and came really close a couple of times, but luck was not on our side today. Instead Kono found the net again 10 min. before the end and got the last goal of the game. 3-2 to Kono. It was not the result we wanted in our last game before Chicago, but Kono seem to be a team we have a hard time winning against. Our guys did a good job and deserved at least a point out of the game, but if nothing else, we got a good workout before the upcoming tournament.
